Move to Jekyll
written on November 25, 2013Static site hosting may seem now a days a totally outdated way of doing elegant sites, but we have to know that any kind of technology may happen to come back to existence in a new form.
The reallity is that Github is providing a generous hosting offer for developers and anybody who can deal with simple systems that at the end will generate static html. There are good and bad things about it but all in all it is a good deal. So I took the time and transferred a new layout to Jekyll template, the system that works behind the scenes of Github pages, and took over some of the important posts I had on my old wordpress installation. The very positive aspect for me is that now I can shutdown my old server which served some years all my samples and demos along my blog to internet. Lets see where it will end up.
